Oh boy...
>Linux Is doomed for failure...
>It's just a matter of time
A very ignorant comment. You have to look at what you're using the OS for. If you're after a "desktop" machine where you have to know basically nothing about how a computer works, then Windows (or Mac) will work great for you.
If you want to run a server that never ever crashes, then Linux works great.
You need to educate yourself a bit I think.

How uniformed some can be...you can run MSOffice on a linux destop today (not that it's actually a Linux version.)
see
http://www.codeweavers.com/products/office/I have cxoffice installed on my laptop (which is running RedHat) and have Office 2000 installed. It works flawlessly, and performance is very good. I have no complaints, however, I avoid M$ tools as much as I can.
To do real work, I use an "office" tool that is IMHO superior to M$Office

For the home who likes to hear "you've got mail", windows will be fine. For the home user who has above average computer skills (or the ability to learn), nothing beats the stability of linux.
>So, do we have a bet?
I suppose, however, you lost even as you posted this message.
