I think reading between the lines in many posts (and I have only been coming back for a day or so) its obvious that J River are changing to a media distribution and sales model or at least accomodating that into thier biz plan.

While I think thats great for them and I wish them every success in the world (plus think it probably a good tactical decision) it does make me wonder... If v10 serves this purpose will they charge for the app ? In every download / sales situation I can think of they give the player away to get you to try and purchase the media... the cost of entry barrier is something no one wants when the purpose is to get as many people sampling and buying music as possible...

Of course all this is guesswork and then my ideas based on guesswork but it does seem obvious from the comments made.
