MC on my TV over network
« on: January 12, 2004, 09:01:58 am »

Does anyone know if, as of right now, there is any way to have the MC interface show up on my TV without having my PC connected to my TV?  Is there any way to use any of these digital media players to accomplish this?  I want one of these wireless digital media players to play stuff on my TV and through my stereo, but I don't want to use any of the proprietary players' GUIs, that's why I have MC.  But, I don't want to connect my PC to my TV either.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Wobbley

An answer to this question would be great for us laptop users that don't have a dedicated desktop pc, no tv tuner card and take our pc's with us.

It would be great to be able open up the laptop when it is at home and run MC from the couch with hairstyle......

I don't think that it is possible.  All those medial players use the files from your pc, but have their own (lame) programs to use as a player.  As far as I know at least.

At this time, the only way to do this is by using a second PC.  It can be fairly simple.  Even an older PC will do an adequate job.

If MC supported Pinnacle Showcenter the problem would be solved.
