ASX problem in 10.0.94
« on: March 18, 2004, 08:28:43 pm »

The download manager is still popping up when clicking on WMA (ASX) streams.

I can't associate ASX files with WMP since I have uninstalled WMP long time ago.

In the past the MC streamed WMA files just fine without the download manager opening up.

Can we, please, have an option to disable the Download manager.  I would rather not instal it at all since I don't see any use for it.

Thanks,
Mike

Try the file associations in Windows Explorer.  Delete the ASX association if necessary.

What do I associate the ASX files with, in windows explorer?  I don't have WMP executable to associate ASX with.

Also I would like to use MC 10 for ASX, not WMP, just without the Download manager popping up, like it was before.

Thanks,
Mike

Don't associate it.  Delete it.

OK, I did it and everything works now! Thanks!

Do I need to to keep the WMA box unchecked in MC10 file associations?

Glad it's working.  You can set associations as you like in MC now.
