Media Server won't start
« on: April 03, 2005, 02:46:44 pm »

I've been using Media Center and Server with no problems for over a year.  I just moved my computer across the room, reconnected everything, and I cannot start media server.  I get "Media Server has encountered a problem and needs to close....."

I've restored XP, I've tried it on my wife's login, all the same results.  My internet is working fine and Media Center itself seems to be working fine.

Here is my system info.  Please help me.:

OK -- even weirder.

If I start media server and don't click on either choice on the error message (Send Error Report; Don't Send), but just keep the error window there, it will connect to my Tivo.  The minute I get rid of that error window, the connection to my Tivo gets lost......
