11.1.70 (12/1/05)

1. Fixed: When starting a handheld sync from the view header, the status column wouldn't update right away to show the upload status.
2. Changed: Starting handheld syncs from the Action Window or view header will both show progress for the transfer in the Action Window.
3. Fixed: Artwork sizes for iPod Nano and iPod 5g were not being loaded properly -- causing artwork to look wrong. (if you see this, reinitialize the iPod to fix)

11.1.69 (12/1/05)

1. Fixed: Customized Podcast feeds could get replaced by the default feeds on the first run.
2. Fixed: Podcast files that hadn't been downloaded were not playable. (must delete files from Podcast and let the reappear to fix)

11.1.67 (11/30/05)

1. NEW: Audible transfers; Added dialog box to Activate Portable Device if needed during Audible file transfers.
2. Fixed: Did not properly purge Podcast episodes based on orphan file count or orphan MB used.
3. Fixed: Media Center MP3 playback no longer hiccups when playing spliced / or slightly invalid MP3 files that have rewind overflows.
4. Changed: Windows MCE remote (and other remotes that send messages directly to the focused window) work in all Media Center views instead of just standard view.

1. NEW: Greatly improved support and performance for Creative Zen Touch and other "All Content" style WMDM devices.
2. NEW: A List of Default Podcasts can be configured by right-clicking on "Podcasts" in the tree control.

4. Fixed: Media Center would not install over an old installation if the shell extensions were used to play a file.

If connecting my Archos Jukebox while MC is already open, it is not detected.
I have to close MC and re-open it to be able to sync

I still can't play any files with MC 11.1.70 ("Media Center has encountered..." error-message). If i install 11.1.60 over 11.1.70, playback will work again. As i wrote before, both my library and media files are adressed via UNC names (aka share names). I believe this is a bug in MC > 11.1.60.

What type of file are you playing?  What if you move a file to the local hard drive?

Matt, i can't play any mp3 files (currently, i don't have other types of audio files in my library). Video and image files located on the same share are playing ok, though.

A strange effect is that i can actually copy a file that won't play from within MC (Library Tools/Copy Disk File). As a test, i copied a mp3 file that wouldn't play to a local harddisk, and imported it into a new library. The file was playing normally.

I just did my small "test routine": installed 11.1.70 -> no mp3 playback. Back to 11.1.60 -> playback works perfectly. The trouble started with 11.1.65.

The error message i'm getting is "Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files. Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location.". The effect is reproduceable on two different machines, btw.

Please help me, i'd love to try out the "streamlined" iPod functionality!

I synced an album to my iPod Nano with 'Set upload volume adjustment' to 'Apply replay gain'.
Normally this works, but I forgot to Analyze this particular album. Therefore this album was playing to loud on the iPod.
Logical next step is to analyze the mp3's files in MC.
Knowing that the date modified is also triggering a synchronization (new feature), I thought I would only have to sync to apply the new settings.
Trying to sync I get the message: the device is fully synchronized.
It should not do that, should it?

Was able to transfer a large number of files.  Cover Art displays correctly and there is no longer a lag when changing songs.  Thanks

On the moment I use MC to look at the songs on the iPod using 'show list' in the synchronize action window MC only shows some album art in the header. For some albums it does, for others it does not.
If I use MC to look at the original files in MC the album is shown perfectly.

I just checked if it was reproducable. It's not. The 2nd time it did not any art of any album.....
