Smartlist rules question ...
« on: May 01, 2007, 11:59:06 am »

I’m almost too embarrassed to post this, but …

I’d like to make a Smartlist that imports files based upon both selected artists and selected genres.

On itunes you could set up rules w/the option that it would import a file if ANY of the rules apply.  It seems that MC only imports if ALL the rules apply so conflicting rules make for an empty Smartlist.  Am I missing something obvious?

while I'm at it, in MC 9 I could right click on a file/folder and had an option to MC import.  Now that I upgraded to MC 12, that option is gone and I've had to drag & drop.  Is this right click import no longer an option?

Turn on Shell Integration in MC Options.

Right now the Smartlist Editor doesn't present the option for 'or' or 'any' logic nicely. It still has a long way to go...

But here's are a couple of ways that you can accomplish this:
