updated version 12 today and now when I insert a new CD into the drive - with auto-rip enabled - I get the message saying "There are no tracks to rip - insert audio CD and ensure tracks are selected".

But the CD is loaded, listed in Drives and Devices, and all files are pre-selected to Rip.

I've rebooted post installation, even though not required, but that didnt help.

I can't reproduce the problem. Does pressing F5 help? Does it help to eject and re-insert the CD?

Please give a list of steps you take to demonstrate the problem, beginning with starting up MC.
Also, a log file following the error condition may help (Help/Logging  have "output to a log file" and all events checked).

Thanks.

0. MC Rip Options set to auto-rip upon CD insert
1. MC started
2. Open CD drive
3. Insert CD
4. MC recognizes CD, gets meta data from Internets
5. Message appears: "There no tracks available..."

Further detail:
- it happens intermittently, and on both drives on the PC (one DVD, one DVD writer).
- it occurs upon insert of the CD *after* the s/w goes out to the internet to get the meta data for the disk.
- F5 does not help, but even if it did, would only be a workaround as im expecting the auto-rip to function every time.

i reset the log file before each time i inserted a CD until the problem happened again.  how do i attach the text?  or do you want it pasted here?

Could you attach the log file to an email (johnt at jriver dot com) after the failure occurs?
