1. Fixed: Installer didn't have updated icon. (only in build 371)
2. Changed: Large image preview tooltips contain name, date, camera information, and filename.
3. NEW: Amazon service added to player.
4. Changed: Amazon service and Audible are loaded on demand and not at startup.
5. Fixed: The TiVo Server would not provide the correct locations of songs/images sometimes.
6. Fixed: External cover art links wouldn't work properly when connected to Library Server.

These are probably from an interface plugin you have running.  I have no idea if they're related to the memory issue, but you might try disabling plugins to see if it makes a difference.  We aren't hearing much of this report, but you're also one of the brave souls with a 64-bit OS.

Thanks Matt. The strange thing is I first started seeing this my wife's old Dell with Windows XP SP2. I guess it would make sense if it was a plugin that has been installed on both the laptop and the HTPC.

Ever since 370 or so, DVD's with menus do not show the highlighted menu item.  I had to downgrade to an earlier version to get them working again.

With several skins (Noire, Jelli,...) I miss even gridlines. Despite the gridline option is activated.
Aruba skin is fine.

Noire and Jelli have gridlines, but the color contrast is not big and the gridlines are light. Maybe your monitor can't reproduce the lightest shades well.

For example,with a correctly adjusted high quality monitor you should be able to see the difference between the 26 different shades (from A to Z) in this picture:

I can discern the shades easy in your table above. Except maybe Y an Z. But the Noire skin hides the gridlines from my eyes. Even now, when I know there are any.
Think, I will have to set new glasses on my wish-list for christmas

I recently added an external drive as a portable device, which worked great and is a great feature. However, even though it is specifically excluded from auto-import, when I plug it in JRWorker.exe starts analysing the contents of the drive. Can I stop this from happening? There are 16,000 files on it, so JRWorker is going to be hogging 50% of my CPU for quite a while; interrupting playback and making typing this post a very laggy enterprise!

When a handheld device is plugged in, MC analyzes what's on the device and calculates the sync.  It should store a database (mpl file) at the root of a drive-type device so that this is fast.  Is the database file there?  Does it show everything?

No, there's no mpl file there. When I try to synch it, it tells me the device is fully synched, though I know I stopped the transfer close to the end the last time...

Basically a blue-screen and restart any time I try to add some folders to my library or even while working to add the contents in the pane view. I've tried to find all sorts of reasons why it oculd be doing that, but each time I try to fix something, or get a hope-giving new version of MC, it does the same thing. I love the broad variety of features, but MC is just not for me or my system it would seem. Theater View is an amazing interface, and I really want to support MC, but the frequent 5x or more a day when I am just trying to look at my media is unacceptable to me. MediaPlayerClassic has no issues with the folders or files I'm viewing or adding to my library. I'm not sure what else I can do at this point, except reinstall my OS and start again. However, by the time I get around to doing that and seeing whether it makes a difference, my 30 day trial will be over.  ?

Software like Media Center really can't cause a blue-screen.

A blue-screen is a hardware or driver issue.  I'd start with your video driver.

Thanks, Matt. That's the impression I was under as well, but MC is the ONLY software it happens with, and not even during playback. It's always during the library/panes views. Nevertheless, it's about time I updated the nVidia drivers, so i'll give it a shot. In any case, my new 8800GT should be arriving soon, and I'll have to update drivers then anyway. I'll report back if I meet with success.

While using Update Tags From Library to get cover art into files (from recent cover art bug due to missing temp folder) I noticed something bothersome:

Although MC is only using 3-12% of my CPU load and there is still 80+% remaining free, during the tag update MC brings my machine to a crawl. Menu's do not open without great lag showing as blank for a bit before the content is drawn, major delays on windows and programs openning and responding, MC will not properly redraw showing remnents of windows which had been opened in front of MC and now closed, etc.

I cannot post the System Ifno from MC as it is non responsive as it is updating the tags, but
I still show 32,800k free physical RAM out of 1gb, with MC using about 169,150k or RAM.

Is this "normal" or is there something going on that should not be?
Why doesn't MC make use of more resources for faster updating?
Is it internal database changes that are slowing things?
