It was simpler when we were small and the U.S. was less worldly, less politically correct.
But what the heck, Merry Christmas! Happy Honnakuh! Feliz Navidad and whatever else you believe in.
Rejoice in the fact that it will now get lighter every day. (It's pure white outside here in Minnesota today, with snow blowing sideways.)
This time of year, we go to work in the dark and come home in the frozen dark, so it's nice to think that March is around the corner and that the marshes will fill with water again and the birds and bees will get back to business as usual.
JRiver had another great year. We're 26 years old now. (I wish I was 26.) We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You're the bright lights in our world. You keep us going, keep us sharp, remind us when we forget to pick up our socks.
Interact is truly a worldly community and I'm grateful for what we've learned from you. I'm grateful for your generous spirit, your amazing sense of humor, and the depth of your knowledge. Thank you.
Next week will be slow here. I hope we'll get another build out on Monday, because the rest of the week we get to eat and watch TV. We won't be back until after New Year's Day.
I'm going south to a small island with a big beach. I plan to eat and drink and get sun burned and forget who I am. I hope I can find a sailboat to fool around with.
Tomorrow and the next day we've got our "kids" around. Three girls. Three beauties. Three sets of shining eyes.
So, I raise my coffee cup to you and all our world. Eat, drink, be merry!
And don't forget to write.
Cheers,
Jim
