After Install MC12 it doesnt play any file

Hello!
I'am a new Jukebox user, and want now try the MediaCenter, because the Featurelist reads beautiful. After Setup, i start the MC and installed my JukeBox Library to hear music, but it doesnt work. He always says, that he cant play that file. When i try to play an Mp3 with Drag&Drop, it sams the same message. The Jukebox is still working.

Any Idea?

Two possibilities:

1.  You installed to the same directory?  Don't do that.

2.  You copied your data.  Don't do that.  I believe MC can restore an MJ library, but it would need to be moved to a different location.

You may be best off to install to a new location, then import your files.

Hello!
I dont installed Media Center in the same dir, like Media Jukebox. It isnt on the same drive.



I did the following without success

I created a new Library and imported my music. The Library lists the music, but it doesnt play it.
When I try to play a Track, he needs 3 - 5 Secounds before he give me the Message

"Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files, Please make sure that the path in you media library points to the right location."

I checked the Path and Filename and all is ok.

What do you think. Should i deinstall and reinstall Media Center? Can I do it without destroying my JukeBox Installation?

Right click on a file in MC and do Locate to see if it exists.

Check the settings for File Locations in both MC and MJ and report what they are.

Hello!
I solved the Problem. There is a bug in the Installer. I reinstalled MC.
First Time, i selected Mobile Installation, and later the setup tells me, there is no license found. So went back and choosed normal setup and it seems, that the setup doesnt installed all what he needs. Now i can play the files, and now i see plugins like Last.fm, upnp server, ... all that wasnt there before.

Now i can test the trail. :-)
