Revert from v.9 to v.8

I purchased MJ prior to v.8, and have been using v.8 for some time.  I decided to evaluate v.9, and now would like to revert to v.8.  Unfortunately it seems my reg code is gone, I can't find the backup or original confirmation email, and the email responder doesn't find my address to resend it.

How can I revert to v8?

PS When v.9 attempts to convert my library info it gets "stuck", usually on the 2nd entry.  Is this a bug?

If conversion seems stuck, let it run for a while.  If the library is large this could take some time.
