adding files to radio
« on: February 17, 2009, 06:30:23 am »

my last question for today.

would it be possible to let radio go on after adding some files to playing now. like playing a request after which the show goes on using the added file (s) as seeds.

and something i still hope that will be added: an mcc command for un seeded radio. or a command line? would make it easy to start it up via a remote.

 :)

to explain to the users that dont know what i talk about. mc has a radio function. in short, it is asking Matt over to your house to do some djing. you can use one or more files as a startup, to give radio an idea where to go (seeded: right click on a file > more play options 0> play as radio). or just let it start (unseeded: toolbar > player > play radio).

In Media Center 13.0.125 and later:

Changed: Radio feature (Player > Play Radio) uses an can be started with an MCC command (command number 10047).
( documented in C++ header file at the top of http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/Media_Center_Core_Commands )
NEW: Pressing the "Radio" button on an MCE remote will start radio playback (i.e. Player > Play Radio...).

Matt, I'm not complaining......but......that's just plain cheeky. I've been bumping for this command in MC12 since August.

yeah. i love it. but that is how it goes, my first post mentioning it i could find quickly is from november 2007 http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=43536.msg297647#msg297647
so not as cheeky as you think

its not a big thing, but it can make some people happy and it fits a bigger picture. and im happy the mcc part is not left out for the geeks like gappie and damian_pentey.

thanks for listening
