Deleting tracks from library...
« on: November 08, 2009, 12:47:33 pm »

There's one fundamental problem in MC/MJ. When you choose to remove some tracks from the library, it doesn't in fact remove them from the library. It only makes them "invisible". First after you delete the files or mvoe them from their directory and then run Auto-import (with "Fix broken links" enabled") it removes them fully. Media Jukebox's library somehow "remembers" the files.
If won't even show them in the library when you try to import them again after library deletion.
I think this ought to be fixed. Or is there a workaround?

When you delete, there are three options.  One of these removes the file from the library and from your disk.

Shift Delete does this, too.

When you import, there is an option to ignore previously deleted files.  Uncheck it.

I know, I named the different options in my post. That when you delete files from the library, it doesn't fully delete them, it only hides the file(s).

Yes, but it does so, even though I uncheck the box. I have to remove a file from the library AND disk, then restore the file and import it again, if I want it to show up again.
