Visualizations in 8.
« on: June 22, 2002, 05:15:51 am »

Is there anyway to have MJ 8.0 cycle through certain visuals instead of all? That red, white and blue one always stuns me when it just shows up like that. I have also noticed that whenever I download and install the latest upgrade it rewrites any changes to the fonts that I have made in the visuals.

Right click on the visualizations, choose Visualizations/Cycle all.  There are a lot of options here.

I've previously done that but I don't see where I can remove any from cycle all.

I'm sorry.  I misread your question.  I think you can do that by deleting (try a rename to be safe).  They have a .mjv extension.  They are stored somewhere in the program directory.

Perhaps a ranking could be associated with each vis.  Then a "don't use vis' ranked below X" setting could be employed.

Just make a folder like "My Favorites" in the visualizations directory. (normally: C:\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\Visualizations\Vis Studio)  Then, copy any of your favorite visualizations into it.

Now when you run MJ, you'll be able to pick Visualizations -> My Favorites -> Cycle All

Hope that's an alright solution...

So what are folk's favorite stock vis?

Lately we've been partial to Peacock Pulse.

Better yet, what Vis is that shown on the DJ3 Track Info template? The shot shown on the downloads page. I have yet to see that one.

Hey Matt,

Thanks a lot for the help. That definitely did it, it even fixed the problem of the latest upgrades rewriting the fonts that I had put in visualizations
