Gizmo does not connect
« on: November 04, 2010, 11:01:49 am »

I have installed Gizmo on Android phone, but it does not want to connect. Followed instruction on Wiki, after I enter Jk.River access key and click go, I am asked to password. Tried leaving blank user name and password as there was no pw set in my MC15 Options. Didn't work. I have then set up user and pw in MC15 options and entered those in Gizmo, still did not connect... Kind of sad... not sure what could be wrong.

Make sure you have the latest build of MC from the top of the MC15 board.  Add authentication in Tools/Options/Media Network/Library Server.

Check the Android Market to make sure your copy of Gizmo is also current.

As Jim said, you just need to install the latest Media Center.

Gizmo does not require authentication to be enabled on the server, but does require a server function only available with newer Media Center builds.

In the Media Network options of MC, check your authorization settings for login and password.
