I have all my DVD backed up on hardisk. Have no problems playing them with windvd or vlc player. I don't really want to switch back and forward between programs I would like to stay with one program MC. When I try playback with MC some dvd's play correctly some don't play at all. Some play but only sound and some play for while and then MC locks up. Am I the only one facing these issues and if yes can someone give me advise on what could be wrong (wrong codec etc.)

You may be missing some codecs. Consider installing CCCP. Start here:

Wow that is how simple it is just a case of reading the manual. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. All my DVD's are working now I just had to follow the instructions. One problem left and that is playing mpg videos. I have no audio when doing this. Is there a document somewhere that can help me out?
