Since a few days i´cant play the files from my Harddisk. The Message is "Something went wrong with playback" Failde to open or parse file"  Thx for your help, sorry for my special english, greetings from Germany

What version are you using?  Media Jukebox, where you've posted, will not play vob files.

I think you posted in the wrong forum, Mnickolai.  Maybe someone can move the thread for you.

You don't say what type of video file... VOB? MPG?  AVI?

One thing you can try is changing the rendering method from Red October to Windows Merit Based.  If that fixes it, you can also try running version 16.0.145 and using Red October and see if that works too.

At least the playback of individual MPEG2 VOB files is broken. I actually tested this during the last weekend, but apparently forgot to post a reply. I tried a few builds and if I recall correctly 164 was the last build that could play individual vob files (i.e. vob files without the DVD video file/folder structure.)

As a workaround, you should be able to play vob files if you change the filename extensions to .mpg .

+1 I can not play a VOB, but if renamed to MPG it is fine.
