MyMovies Tags for Blu-rays
« on: November 01, 2011, 01:56:59 pm »

Hi, just trying this out and love the look and feel however having imported by DVD/Bluray collection it's disappointing to see the information that is stored in the Mymovies xml files FOR BLU-RAY DISCS is not being used.  For example blu-rays have the folder names, the first frame of the movie not the cover art, no movies synopsis etc.  All the movies (DVDs & Blu-rays) show up fine in MyMovies in MC7 so the tagging seems to be OK.

Is there a setting I've missed?

Thanks,

Simon

Welcome to Interact.  Try a right click and Get Movie Info.

This is an area we're working on now (metadata for movies).

The file must be named "mymovies.xml" for Media Center to read it.
Up until build 17.0.23, it had to be located in the same folder as the movie's index.bdmv file, but newer builds also look for it in the folder above that one.

I've just cleared my library and installed the latest version.  This is much better with the cover art and the movie details looking OK now however the movies title is still incorrect.  It appears to be using the folder name of  the directory where the mymovies.xml file is residing eg. for The Road then the directory structure is Movies/The Road[Blu-ray]/Bd_Icon_70190/BDMV/STREAM etc.  mymovies.xml is in the Bd_ICON_70190 folder and Media Center is showing that folder name as the movie title.

This applies to DVD and Blu-ray movies.

I replicated the problem here and it's been fixed for the next build.  Thanks for the report.
