Can anybody enlighten me as to why I can not upgrade MC17 beyond 17.0.99 on any Windows 2000 system? Feeling pretty useless with this last batch of 'upgrades'..

What is the error you get?

After the file extracts and installs,it attempts to run and produces the following error message: "The procedure entry point Get Process Handle Count could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.DLL"     Subsequent attempts to run the installed program produce the same message. I returned to 17.0.99 and all is well. No problems on all other later OS's with current build. Thanks Jim for your prompt reply     j

We'll see if we can fix it, but it's not certain.  We no longer support Win98.  Win2000 may be next.  I'm sorry if that causes you a problem, but let's wait a little to see what we can do.

Next build:
Fixed: Usage of the GetProcessHandleCount(...) function was causing installs to fail on Windows 2000.
Fixed: Installation on a Windows 2000 machine would show an error trying to install DirectX components (DirectX / 3d accelerated views are not supported on Windows 2000).

Thanks Matt & all! I use these 'legacy' W2K workstations heavily (they really rock!) and I'm glad I can continue to update MC17 with confidence until the day they are retired. The JRiver team is amazing!  Cheers,  j                                              8-)

Update: Build 17.0.155 now installs flawlessly on Windows 2000 Professional SP4. Thanks again guys. You obviously ROCK!
