Media Jukebox Upgrade Proplems
« on: March 16, 2003, 09:11:17 am »

I have not been able to use my Media Jukebox 8 since December.  I was one of those people that downloaded the upgrade before Decemeber 1 and got stuck.  I have my ".rrg" file on my hard drive but it doesn't work when I try to restore the license.  Also, apparently I am too old of a customer (I started with verision 7) to be able to restore from the internet.  I read a thread posted about problems with ".rrg" files and thought you could fix it so I sent it to you via email.  However, this was my repsonse:

Joseph:

You purchased Media Jukebox 7. Your license is valid for Media Jukebox 8, but not Media Jukebox 9. It has nothing to do with the revised rrg files (these were rrg files from purchasing version 8).

Please post your question on interact (you have not done so yet).

Thanks,
j

Please help me.  It simply does not work.  I can send you my ".rrg" file to verify I have purchased a valid license.  I just downloaded 8.0.394 and I still can't get it to recognize my ".rrg" file.  Accordingly, your response that my Version 7 license will work on version 8 is simply not true in this case!!!

HELP.

Something renamed the file.  Try renaming it MediaJukebox8.rrg .

There is a FAQ here:

i think he is saying he had a Version 7 license.

if so then it should be MediaJukebox7.rrg

since you or your system renamed it you need to change it back to orginal name, thats why it does not work.
