Audio output issue
« on: August 16, 2012, 02:32:31 pm »

I'm using a Lynx Two-B soundcard. Analogue outputs work fine, bu I'm not able to get sound using the digital output from Lynx. It works fine under windows, so obviously the problems lies with JRiver.
I've attached two pics.

Play 7 + 8 is the digital output from the Lynx. When I choose this from the output menu under JRiver I get no sound. I've tried all the other ones in the list, but I'm not getting sound and I can see in the Lynx mixer that sound is being put on analogue outputs whatever I choose from the list. It's the same with JRiver v 16. Too bad it isn't possible to pick the default under windows with Asio.

You need to set the 'Channel offset' in the ASIO settings dialog to target different channels.

For example, you would use "6" to shift the sound from 0 and 1 up to 6 and 7 (zero-based counting).

Thanks Matt. Channel 6 worked for both speakers.

It don't quite understand the system and why it's set up like this, but I assume it has its resons.
