Brian,

Date Created is not an option within the albums category.

I think this could be where I'm getting crossed up.

Any ideas as to how to get around this?

As I said, you have to click the Edit button.  See attached screen shot.

Sorry to have been so painfully slow about this.

I'll give it a shot, Brian.

Again, thanks so much for hanging in there with me.

You've been great.

Brian,

You can tell me to take a hike at this point if you want (although) I hope you won't.

I have Album showing in Items to Show and Albums showing in Show Categories in this order.

But when I edit album and go to the Expression section, I only see Expression shown under Name.

And the other areas are blank. I even copied in the text you show in your screen print and it still didn't work.

I'm sorry to make this harder than maybe it should be, but I just can't figure out what's going wrong.

What's more, the Standard View is showing exactly what I want. But JRemote just won't show it.

So Standard View won't copy over and I'm not doing something right with the edits.

I knew I shouldn't have posted that screen shot.  Don't use EXPRESSION.  Use Library Field, and choose Album.  Then choose your sorting in the box below.

Standard View's sorting normally copies over just fine.  I'm too tired to experiment with it any more tonight, but I'm very sure that my sorting (which is by Date Imported) has copied over several times in the past.  Remember that you have to restart MC *and* JRemote after every JRemote view change.  That includes changing sorting, or any other parameter.

Good luck.

Brian,

You should be happy (and extremely relieved) to know that all is sorted on my system.

Please show this message to Jim and let him know that he has in you a very patient, persistent, and very service oriented person working with him.

Thanks for everything.

LOL.  Yes, I'm happy and relieved that we got you to where you wanted to be.  :)

For the record, I don't work for JRiver.  I'm just a customer helping out other customers.  Glad I could guide you to the solution.

Take care,

Brian.

Now I feel terrible, Brian.

There's a place for you in audiophile heaven for all of your efforts.

JRiver should hire you.

Thanks again.

I know that and I agree.  Brian is very generous with his time and knowledge.  We really appreciate it.
