I have windows 8 on my Sony i7 laptop. When I load Media Center 18, I am unable to play music on XBox that is stored on my laptop. Xbox will play the music on the xbox website, but not my personal mp3 files that are on my laptop harddrive. When I uninstall Media Center 18 the files on my laptop play fine on XBox. Does anyone know what causes this conflict between Xbox and Windows 8. I could, of course, just play all my music on Xbox and forget Media Center 18. However, I like the organizational features of Media Center and have been using the program for years. There must be some easy fix for this problem. Thanks for your help.
