USB 5.1 Compatability?
« on: May 12, 2013, 12:03:23 am »

I have been using MC now for about a year, and love it.

My current setup is pc or laptop--->Behringer UCA202---> (via RCA) small Mackie mixer--->pro crossover--->pro amps (highs/subs).

To date I have only been using it in 2 channel output format. If I were to get a 5.1 adapter such as:

http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Soundblaster-Surround-System-SB1095/dp/B0044DEDCA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1368333936&sr=1-1&keywords=Creative+Soundblaster+X-Fi+Surround+5.1

Will I have full functionality of MC's DSP Studio with the Creative drivers installed? Will formats such as DTS be passed through for the adapter to process? I would like to throw together a surround system for watching movies and music videos outdoors, and I am using a (parametric EQ) HPF for my subs......

Thank you.

The answer is yes, but it's a big subject.  Please start here:
