Software updates
« on: May 22, 2013, 02:18:55 pm »

How do I stop the automatic updates to MC?  Changes get made, and they are not wanted, sometimes causing problems!

Help > Update Channels > Disable Automatic Update (Not Recommended)

Can I ask what it is that's caused you to want this?

After the update my Wasapi was gone as I knew it, started getting static intermittently/randomly on tracks.....I just lost my enjoyment of MC, updated when I was happy.  Not good!

Please read the first post in the thread called "New WASAPI".  Try setting the bitdepth.

I'm  also having issues with WASAPI after auto update. The sound stutters.I tried setting bit depth but it then gave me the can't play that format message unsless it's done via DSP.

Thanks Jim, "defeating" event style solved the issue.

Did you try them all?  24 bit in a 32 bit package?

Did you try WASAPI both ways?

Yes to both. With it set to 24bit in 32 bit pack and event style disabled 16 bit files play fine,24 bit files have a fluttery sound on top of the music. With event style enabled 16bit and 24 bit files sound choppy.
