I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 with Android 4.2.2 and I also am unable to view any videos through Gizmo

...and it does not work on Android 4.3 either.

I think it's about time to look into this....
Gizmo plays on: Galaxy S, Galaxy SII, Galaxy SIII but just shows some milliseconds on S4
Every other app for showing video is working well...

My guess is that it isn't the version of Android that matters.  It's the default video player.

Samsungs video player on their newer devices seems incapable of proper streaming playback, which Gizmo relys on.
We're working on a solution, but so far nothing seems to make the Samsung devices cooperate the way any other Android devices do.

I can confirm that Gizmo:
- Works fine on Nexus 7's on 4.3
- Fails on Samsung Note 3 with Andriod 4.3
- Works on multiple Samsung devices up to Andriod 4.1.2

Seems the cut off is Samsung Devices above 4.1.2

Has anyone tried to sideload the older Samsung Player?

FYI - my Galaxy Note 2 8" with 4.2.2 (sideloaded, rooted, custom recovery) works fine with Gizmo.....No idea why as it is (apparently) the official ROM "XXCMH3_stock-rooted-official"

There is a new version of Gizmo and MC that should make video playback work on Samsung devices, at least first tests seem positive:
