You can't import from a Client copy of MC.

I am not sure what a client copy is?

My issue was that "PARTY MODE" was on, once I discovered that I had no issues with imports.

MC can be used in a client/server setup with multiple PCs.  Check in the Wiki under Media Network for more info if you're curious.

But, I was guessing.  Yes, Party Mode essentially locks the MC Library down to prevent accidental drunken breakage at a party (where people other than you might be using it).
