Hello everyone. This is my first post and I'm totally a noob when it comes to JRiver MC. Until now I've been using XBMC and I like it except for one minor thing which is why I'm considering JRiver.
So for my environment, I have a dedicated stereo which does nothing but 2 channel audio. All my music is ripped from CD as WAV or Albums purchased online as FLAC. I don't do any tagging on my WAV files nor do I really need to. I basically listen to music by browsing the files I need and playing them (via a MCE remote).
Folders are laid out as such:
D:\Music\WAV\Artist\Album\Tracks
D:\Music\FLAC\Artist\Album\Tracks
So I've figured out how to get JRiver to start up in theater mode and I've also customized the view so its only got the explorer under the gadgets section and nothing else but I'm wondering if I can do the following. Can I have it start by going directly to theater mode then go directly to gadgets and explorer and into a path which I specify - in this case d:\Music.
When I first start it, I'd prefer not seeing the word gadgets and explorer. I'd really rather it go into explorer right away to that path. That way what I see are two folders - WAV and FLAC then I can navigate from there as a starting point.
If I can do that, then I'm set. The behavior is pretty much the same as XBMC. I can then take advantage of the EQ function of JRiver which is what I really need.
Any help is welcome.
