Samsung's New Free Music Streaming Service for Galaxy Phones
« on: March 10, 2014, 06:55:41 pm »

If you have a fairly new Samsung Galaxy phone, you can visit the Play Store and download Samsung Milk, a new service just announced at South by Southwest in Austin.

CNET has a good description of it here:

For Samsung Galaxy S4, S4 Mini, S3, Galaxy Note 2, Note 3, Galaxy Mega, and upcoming Galaxy S5.

I tried it for a few minutes today.  It's interesting.  I'll use it for a few days and report back.  It worked when streaming to a Bluetooth speaker.  You chose a "station" and then you can skip up to 6 tracks each hour.

It's based on Slacker, which has been around for about five years.  Dennis Mudd, founder of MusicMatch, helped start Slacker.

I've got a compatible device. Problem is I'm not in a compatible country.

No worries. I've got plenty of MC options..  ;)
