Hi all,
My current equipment:
Synology NAS
Oppo BDP-105 Modwright
Android phone and tablet running BubbleUPnP
This generally works good, streaming my FLAC collection of std and hires music. It does not support gapless nor does it support my SACD rips in DSF. Other than that, it sounds great and has an ok UI. I can play my DSF files from an attached hard drive on the Oppo, but then have to use either the on-screen Oppo menu or their Media Control app which isn't supported on my tablet, and neither are very good options.
I would like a single streaming solution that improves on the UI experience for FLAC while adding streaming support for DSF. I would like it to be seamless between the two formats, having play lists that mix FLAC and DSF, and be controlled by my Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet. I'm an audiophile type, so I'm unwilling to compromise any sound quality along the way. I believe that JRiver now supports streaming DSF to Oppo, so that's why I posting here.
I'm not willing to leave my main Windows computer on but am willing to buy a tiny, very energy efficient box that ideally isn't located near the Oppo, but could be if required. Can anyone first confirm that this is in fact possible, and if so, recommend a tiny pc solution suitable for running JRiver with hires and DSF.
Thanks in advance for all help!
Rob
