Actually... Nope. Turning the censored word off and then on again doesn't work. The forum software replaces the text on-the-fly but actually stores the original text. When you turn on a censored word, since the replacement happens "on the fly" it actually replaces all occurrences of the word forever back in time (back to the very first occurrences of the word on the forum). You can see that this is how it works if you search for censored words. So, if you search for "python" you only find results where the original post
actually wrote "python" (mostly a bunch of Monty Python references, fwiw). If you search for "chіcken" you find a bunch of posts where people are saying "python" but actually meant "chіcken".
So... No, it isn't just having a hand on the switch. Which, even if it was, wouldn't explain how RoderickGI was able to do it.
