Complete ListId Pi -- JRiver Id on Raspberry Pi for $99.98
If you'd like to play your music in a different place than where your computer is, the
JRiver Id is a great solution. It's a DLNA Renderer so you can play to it from anywhere on your network. The new model, the Id Pi, is just under $99.98 on a
Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, and it is ridiculously easy to do.
The Id Pi software is now available on a bootable microSD card. Just insert the card in a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (sold at many online retailers) and turn it on. The card is available for $39.99 during September ($10 off). The Pi is $59.99. It can be remotely controlled with JRemote or Gizmo. It can be used with or without a monitor.
Id Pi ($39.99 + $59.99) = $99.98
Includes Linux, Media Center, and Engen
Turning the Lights Down
JRiver has just released a new automated lighting software solution called
Engen. It controls lights, switches, and scenes, using Z-Wave. You can use any browser as your remote, and it also supports a physical remote. The Id Pi currently includes Engen.
Getting StartedPanel Web App
Panel is a free web application that provides access to Engen and JRiver Media Center in one easy-to-use menu from any modern browser on any device.
Bratwurst XXXV
JRiver held its annual Block the Sidewalk for Brats event in downtown Minneapolis. You can see
photos of the team after lunch. Why XXXV? JRiver is 35 years old this year! That's a lot of brats.
