Radio Paradise is working fine here.

Make sure you don't have the program set to stop after each track in Player > Repeat > Stop After Each Item.

I propose to render the launch button of The Radio Paradise in the toolbar panel... How to do it - described here:

Quote
To quickly and easily start Radio Paradise, add a button to the menu bar of JRiver.
1. Run the Windows Registry Editor
2. Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ JRiver \ Media Center 24 \ MCBars \ Top section.
3. Add the string parameters with the names "6" and "7". If you already have buttons in the top menu bar, then these names can be used, then use the following free ones.
4. In the parameter "6" we insert the line:
    (1:1)(1:1)(0:)(2:-1)(0:)(2:-1)(1:0)
5. In the parameter "7" we insert the line:
    (1:1)(1:2)(19:Play Radio Paradise)(5:20036)(0:)(2:62)(1:0)
"6" is a separator, "7" is the actual button. The icon "Favorites" is used. You can do with the logo of Radio Paradise, but it's harder, if anyone is interested, I'll write as.

It's very convenient, I like it... :-*

Windows Defender only with default settings used here...
Up-to-date as of today.
Temporary disabling has no effect.

Other Windows setting?
All troubleshooters report proper function of network devices and internet access
Thanks for the help

Corsimusic, if those two images were meant to show us you had the correct settings, you are looking in the wrong place. As Matt suggested, have you checked under the main menu at the top of MC, "Player > Repeat > Stop After Each Item"?

See image. I got caught out by this setting a while back after playing some shuffled tracks, and accidentally turning on "Stop After Each Item". Check it.

My system set to:
Player>Repeat>Repeat Off

very end of current track <10sec/beginning of new track - playback "pauses".

System resumes playback - when next full track is downloaded [timing of playback resumption - function of next track size]
30-~60 second delay - if next track >4min ~60 sec (buffering)

I use digital output (Optical) [Direct Sound] to external DAC
Every other function of MC24 functions just fine...in fact - FLAWLESS

My PC config?, Radio paradise servers?
My android RP AP streams FLAC with grace, and killer fidelity
Most grateful for assistance - always :-)

UncleMilt, run the speedtest with a server in Austin, TX, where the RP servers are located. Make sure that it is sufficient for the flac stream, at least 10 Mbps.

corsimusic, a good incoming speed, although very low outgoing, but it should suffice (I have an outgoing stream for the RP about 24 KB/s)

In early June, I had a similar situation, when 2 days RP did not work normally. It was also a long buffering. But the mobile application on the Android tablet, too, could not normally play flac stream.
Then everything was restored by itself. I did not understand why it was, maybe the provider was to blame.

Thanks Alex M.
I tested speed from AT&T Austin, TX.
65ms ping/8 Mbps down/1.5Mbps up...
This is max from my local service provider, as well (out in the sticks - with no other service plan available) :-[

First track plays well - always.

Thanks JimH.
MC 24.0.34 (64-bit)

Memory playback (not zone specific): No memory playback
Player> Repeat > Repeat Off

When playback stops ~10sec of current track remains unplayed...until playback resumes for next track? then ~10sec of previous track finishes and new track playback transitions well?

First track always starts near instantaneously, plays /streams beautifully. Transition to fetch second track causes playback to pause. Full download of next track required before playback resumes.

It "appears" that fresh start - first FLAC track streams (well), but subsequent tracks are treated not as streams, but discrete files that download in full prior to playback?

Try changing the setting for track transitions under Audio.  Use a gapped setting.

Many thanks, JimH

Audio>Track Change: toggled "off" for gapless (sequential or manual), including - Do not play silence (leading and trailing)
Unfortunately, no change in playback behavior.

Please let me know what else I may try?

I found a solution!
RP FLAC now streams and transitions "Beautifully" with only 8Mbps down.
Credit goes to Alex M!!!! (...a good man!)

Tools> Options> Audio

Track Change (mods)

Switch tracks: Gapless
Do not play silence (leading and trailing) [unchecked]
Use gapless for sequential album tracks [checked]
Use gapless for manual track changes [checked]

Thanks JimH for the "track transitions" tip above. Also lead to the solution.

Changing to the above settings also works for me - many thanks to all involved.

Edit: 30 minute listening update - occasionally getting a slight pause before the end of a track - 2 out of 7 tracks.  Internet is wired at 200 down and 12 up, so it shouldn't be the problem.

Will continue to listen and report back.

Update 2: pause experienced on 6 out of 16 tracks - seems like the shorter ones are more susceptible to the slight pause than 5+ minute tracks.  What is the recommendation on memory playback please?

I finally find the problem with radio paradise
I have 3 PC one or is stoker my biblioteque musical
the second in my living room plug on my chord mojo and my hi-fi
and a laptop to listen to music anywhere
as my music is stoker on the first pc i sync  the library of all other pc on it
it works very well for movies music but not for radio paradise
to be able to listen to radio paradise I have to put myself on the local biblioteque and the radio paradise works almost perfectly
I almost say because there are sometimes small cut (rare) and especially one day or the other it often stops after 2 to 3 hours
In short I am rather happy even if it is a bit of a burden to have to load the local library to listen to the radio
all this is going to improve thanks to the exellents developers of j river

Another lossless choice for streaming now.

Radio JRiver

Requires 24.0.38 or later.

Buffering 2000 ms completely eliminates these nasty stuttering at the end of the tracks.

Request to the developers.
Extend the available buffering values to 10 seconds, please. Now the big values have to be installed in the Windows registry, which is inconvenient.

What buffering value are you setting?  The one for DirectSound playback in Options > Audio > Device settings..., or some other one?

Thanks!

I use two different paths. Usually ASIO, sometimes DirectSound for headphones connected to the monitor.
For Audio> ASIO> Device settings maximum buffering 500 ms, for Audio> DirectSound> Device settings maximum buffering 1 sec.
Sometimes you need to set a higher value, as in the case of Radio Paradise.
Now it can be done only in the Windows registry, for example:
...Zones\0\ASIO
"Buffering MS"=dword:000007d0
...Zones\0\Direct Sound
"Buffering MS"=dword:000007d0

Coming next build we'll have this:
Changed: The maximum buffering for Direct Sound was increased from one second to three seconds.
Changed: Added buffering values for ASIO up to 3 seconds (previously stopped at 500ms).

Thanks for the suggestions :)

How do you start?  I can see the icons, jazz, classic, rock, etc.  Clicking on any of these makes the colour wheel rotate for about 2 - 5 mins, then "Something went wrong with playback".   Do I need to pay something somewhere?

Its a Mac i7 and a 50mbps internet connection

Thanks

PS:  I use TIDAL quite a lot with success

In the Radio Paradise Android Phone App, there is a PSD button that when I press it, I can choose among three playlist, mellow, rockin and groovy.  I like to listen to the rockin playlist.  Is there a way to do this when streaming Radio Paradise via JRiver?

I seem to have an issue streaming RP via the stream page ever since 20.45 has come out (I didn't have any issues previous to that other than the stopping of the stream around song 40 that I reported previously, the streamm worked fine with 20.41)
Now about 50% of the time I try launching RP I get the error message 'There is a problem right now. Playback cannot be started'
I've tried changing setting and even tried using several other different dacs (using asio , waspi and even direct sound) and it still happens
I've checked that it isn't a connection issue I have more than enough bandwith 200+Mbs nor is it a latency issue

Also I can connect to RP's flac stream via the web app posted on RP's forum

https://marco79cgn.github.io/radio-paradise/

with absolutely no issues

This issue is a little annoying as streaming was one of the reasons I upgraded to JR 24   :(

I too upgraded to MC24 because of Radio Paradise, so I remain disappointed that so far its implementation remains flawed.

I've tried the link provided by Axilian (thanks) and can also report that it works well (dare I say 'flawlessly').

I have this nagging feeling that JRiver's own radio station has taken development priority.
