Thanks for the link.  I downloaded the file, imported it into MC11 and did a right click to analyze.  It worked for me.

This is something i have never done with MC. I felt the BPM would not be useful if there were changes in tempo, which they will be invariably. I waited for cue to be implemented so i could analyse on a track by track basis.

Volume normalisation is one benefit i suppose but then if its > 100 Mb, usually the volume does not shift too much (within the mix).

These files are good candidates for Mp3Gain which will actually modify the volume setting of the mix so it sounds the same on any player.

I have analyzed big MP3 files (up to 163 MB) and even bigger APE files without problems. Years ago MJ/MC had problems with analyzing thousands of files in a batch. I think it was fixed then and nobody has reported it since.

Could it be a memory or other stability problem? It is an intensive task, which maximizes CPU utilization.

Thanks for checking into this.  I don't even know where to start looking.  I have 1 GB, Audigy2, and P4 3.4.  My motherboard drivers and BIOS are pretty recent and the latest set of Audigy drivers.

I don't know either, but if I had to guess, I might think about a memory error, or not enough swap space.
