Success! Under a View ('Progressive Rock') I was able to create a sub-view ('Progressive Rock by Country') and since all my prog rock artists are already tagged for country they show up in the tree in the right place. Thanks so much, HPBEME, for your help on this; you really pointed me in the right direction.

Unfortunately I haven't found any workarounds. I suspect this issue is reproducible with other apps besides BubbleUPnP that support DLNA/UPnP and I believe the Neutron Music Player app supports this, I just keep forgetting to install it and try it there.

Hopefully this issue picks up some steam again, even though it's rare and unique to us hoarders. Anything like a fix, a workaround, a hack, etc. Anything to get it working as expected. :P

Are they SACD iso files?
The file type field in a file list in MC will tell what kind of file they are.
What are you trying to play to?

I am going to try this one again. I use the Link Files feature a lot. I create a lot of smart playlists. I have noticed that linked files are not played as expected when streaming a playlist to My Device (iPhone). Each file from a set of linked files only plays individually. The linked files always play as expected when playing the identical playlist to zones that are on the local network.

Why won’t the whole linked set play as expected when streaming to My Device?

I hope I have articulated this well enough!

Just to add - 0 and 1 are just computer values for FALSE and TRUE.  So, =1 just means that the previous expression is TRUE.

EDIT: Another option (if your AVR supports it) would be sending music using DLNA. No physical connection required and I don't think sleeping monitors would interfere.

I use JRiver MC for organising all my media files and for playing video. Stereo audio files are played from my NAS to a Naim streamer (without any MC involvement).

Multi-channel DSF audio (ripped from my SACDs) needs to be played via my Denon X8500H AV amp, but unfortunately it only supports stereo DSF files, so a DLNA connection is not going to work. This is why I am choosing to decode the DSFs in MC and send a multi-channel PCM signal to the AV amp.

This is not good news. But thank you very much for your infomartion. Do you think - or is it possible at all - that B&W can make them DNLA-compatible through a firmware update?

Yes it's possible to update to DNLA compatible, The Pearl from Cabasse wasn't DNLA compatible after an update now it is.
3 years later B&W did not update Formation to make it DNLA compatible, so it is now clear they don't want to do that, this is beyond understanding

I had a quick play with a few of my own links.  Looks like you get the 720p SD regardless of what screen resolution (or if you have HDR tuned on) - even if there is a UHD HDR version available.
