Hi all
I cant understand why on my MBP M1max (2021) im getting snail like performance from MC
each time I switch ie from the `albums` to `artist` view I get a beach ball that lasts 8-12 seconds before MC is responsive again
How does one go and debug this?
using:
Media Center 32.0.44 (Silicon)
Apple M1 Max
Memory 32 GB
macOS Sonoma 14.4
seems like mc is taking 15% cpu and 774.9 MB RAM
any help would be super
thx!

Thank you Frobozz for your valuable input.
In the interim however, I cleared the old library, then created a temporary external folder to remove all unnecessary stuff retaining only the audio files for a fresh import. That was relatively quickly done using appropriate utilities. Currently importing the "clean" folders. Should be done by tomorrow. Thanks once again. |

Thank you to all that helped me with resolving my problem.
I did download MC32 again and all is working. After I had paid and received my key code and input it, I thought I was set but obviously not. Thanks again. |

Using the command line eject tool should work.
sudo apt install eject eject /dev/sr0 |

I added the packages MC needs for Noble to the repo so they will be downloaded with MC. They are the signed ubuntu ones, like you'd get off of a mirror.
See the revised instructions above that include the Noble MC repo. |

I think the lowest increment in parametric equalizer is one 10,000th of a db (i.e. .00001 db). Plenty of precision available!
There is no difference between PEQ and PEQ2, they're just there if you need to do filtering before and after some other DSP block like convolution or an external VST, etc. |

Did you enable the feature to support long file names? It should be enabled in both MC and in Windows (File Explorer) itself.
